ViLLa fLora
villa flora draws its inspiration from the roman goddess of spring and flowers, celebrated in the city of omiš more than 2000 years ago during the festival of floralie. antique roman motifs such as arches, fluted columns and aqueducts are reinterpreted as architectural elements that bring vitality into the interior. in the spirit of christopher alexander’s a pattern language, they carry a timeless shared symbolism that resonates deeply within us all. the design weaves together history and the present, creating an almost theatrical scenography that becomes a celebration of life itself. artist rino banko will create a site-specific installation exploring the enduring connection between nature and culture, pointing towards the future.
